[Bridge]
Even before everyone got sick, Clovis was barely sleeping, so he wasn't coming down with what everyone else was coming down with, which meant everyone was on fumes.
Besides keeping the ship on course not crashing into a planet or sun, Clovis has taken up some other duties. He mostly helped where he could, from the helm console. So, it was primarily ops, tactical, and some science sensor work.
Stifling a yawn, Clovis rubbed his eyes, the console blurring a little, which crazy enough happens when you stare too long at the same thing. Odin was sitting on auto-pilot while Clovis dealt with some slight sensor issues. It wasn't anything significant, just some odd fluctuations, giving some weird readings and a few 'ghosts.'
His knowledge of fixing anything non-engine or related to flight control was limited, but luckily, it was all just troubleshooting. Now, Clovis has never really seen himself as a 'trouble-shooter,' "thank god for diagnostics," he muttered as he started a couple of diagnostics.
While waiting for the results, he adjusted the course slightly to avoid some odd spacial radiation and a few other small things that, well, only excellent pilots and the naturally gifted ones. Ah, the good-old cockiness of pilots, but then again, that's probably what you would want from pilots seeing that one wrong move they could take out an entire crew.
A bleep could be heard from the right side of the helm console. It was a lot of data, always was, "Okay, just need to find the odd thing, right," he muttered, scrolling through the data, vaguely remembering his training. Clovis rubbed his eyes, "come one thing," and it finally came to him. Tapping a few more buttons, he allowed adjustments before running one more diagnostic.
"El-tee," a 3rd-year cadet said as he walked up to the helm console; he wasn't looking good.
"Cadet, you are not looking too hot," Clovis said, backing away slightly, "you need to go to the infirmary," Clovis said, his tone firm.
"No, no, no, I am fine," he said, wiping his forehead, his vision blurred and his actions erratic.
"I got him," another officer getting off shift, who quickly walked forward and coaxed the cadet to the lift, knowing that the longer he stayed on the Bridge, the more he could infect people.
Clovis gave the officer a nod as he got back to work finishing up the work on the sensors.
