Mission:
The Quagmire
Timeline: OOC: Takes place during the Kansas log, but before the JL between Thorne and Hawk
With a quiet "oofff..", Indi slowly regained consciousness. She was aware of people around her. A lot of them. As more of her consciousness returned, she also became aware of one man really close to her. She peeled her eyes open, and looked over at who it was. It was the young Ensign, Ceaser, that had been in Sickbay not long before.
He looked back at her. This was not what he expected to see here the first time after he could walk again. "Hy. What... What happened here?" did Ceaser ask. While he was looking around, he saw these white tiles. He wondered what it was.
Indi followed the Ensign's gaze and noticed the tiles as well, but that would have to wait until later. First things first. Everybody's safety. "Are you alright?" she asked, looking the man up and down. She pushed herself into a sitting position, and mentally went over every body part to make sure it was still in working order. That seemed to be the case, which was a good start.
Moments later, she tried getting to her feet, and started checking in on those people closest to her.
While he saw his leader doing it, Ceaser decided to go around and help everyone as well. There seemed to be no bad injuries. Except from one person her arm did hurt, but probebly nothing very bad. Ceaser thought it was from the fall. "It will be alright," he said to make sure she stayed calm.
The woman was a young Petty Officer who hadn't been aboard the Odin long before it had been swung across universes. Probably about the same age as Ceaser was. She also wore a gold uniform, but that could mean anything from Operations to Engineering or Security. "I'm pretty sure it's broken," she whimpered at Ceaser.
Ceaser asked "Can you stand?". The woman clearly could, so they improvised a bit and made sure she would keep her arm still. After he had helped her Ceaser checked some other people who woke up. Clearly no one was really hurt so that's great. "Commander," he called. "Where are we? Do you have any idea?"
Indi had circled back to her young assistant. There were too many crew members here to see to them all personally, but she saw others getting to their feet and also checking their colleagues. Injuries seemed to be at a minimum at first glance, which was probably the best she could hope for. "I have no idea," she shook her head. Her eyes weren't telling her much either. "I don't remember us being transported or anything."
"But how is it possible that all most the whole crew is here?" There must be an explanation for all this he thought, looking around he saw the same amazement in everyone's eyes.
"I'm not sure the entire crew is here," Indi replied. Which was true, because she hadn't done a head count yet. It looked like a lot of them were there, but she wasn't ready to say 'everybody' was. A head count should move higher up their list, but she had to find the CO first for that. "What's the last thing you remember?"
"A white flash, but that's it."
Indi nodded her acknowledgement. "Where were you?"
Ceaser dug in his memories. "I was on my way to you, there was something important I had to tell you. But I don't remember."
So, he was just in a corridor. She'd been in her office, listening in on the Bridge happenings to know where and when she'd possibly have to dispatch Security personnel. She'd also seen Bridge officers here already, so there was crew from all over the ship here. "I should check in with the CO. Will you be alright for a while? Can you check on as many people as possible to make sure they're alright?"
"I'll try my best." I hope everyone wakes up in the first place.
