"Ah there you are, Lieutenant Sabine," sounded the auburn haired Russian woman's voice as the walked in, giving Madalene a nod. "Been looking for you, I have something to do for you, a task so to say. Should keep you busy for a while to come."

'....oh um yes of course," Madalene said looking from her work, "how can I help you commander?" She said bringing a smile to her face enjoying this staying busy.

"You've been spending a lot of time talking with and helping out that derelict AI we picked up, what was her name again? Kat Walker?" Kris mused. "Appropriated some Federation technology without permission to provide a long term power supply, which was a bit irregular. What can you tell me about Kat Walker?"

Madalene gulped at hearing the words "without permission" she kew this would happen eventually. "She is eager to help....well not necessarily eager more of a need based off of her programming." Madalene said listing off what she knew, "she can pilot apparently almost any kind of vehicle. All she wants to do is help."

"I gathered that from the reports - and don't worry about the power supply, I think considering the situation we can overlook it. Though next time, run anything you do by me, please. As Exec it's my duty to remain on top of possible risks to this crew and the ship from within," Kris mused. "What I want to know is your personal opinion, what's not written in the reports."

"Of course and apologies commander," Madalene said letting out a big sigh she was apparently holding. "My personal opinion I don't think she'll hurt anyone intentionally its not in her programming. I think she'll be a great asset."

Kris gave a nod, contemplating for a moment. "The Captain ... has given permission for Kat to take an Academy Officer's course and for her AI core to be fitted into a Valkyrie. My own opinion on this was not asked, but it's the Captain's decision, and so it shall be. I would like for you to oversee this project, and report any anomalies to me. It's my understanding that the AI considers you a friend and you her as well, so this should work to make her comfortable during this transition. Finally, work with Engineering and the AI to build an interface to fit her into a Valkyrie, but wait with enacting the actual transfer until she's completed her courses and got a rank."

...Madalene nodded this was gonna be a big project. "Can I also bring in the fighter techs. I am good and I am sure engineering is also very good but we weren't trained to work on fighters."

"Of course. I want you to lead this project, Madalene. Bring in who and what you need, but I'll want daily reports on your progress. Understand that this is an unprecedented and very sensitive project. My main concern is for the safety of this ship and its crew. My second concern is for the success of this project and a proper and productive integration of this AI into this crew," Kris smiled. "I have my misgivings, but I'll be happy to be proven wrong."

"...right," Maddy said under her breath as she bit her lower lip. Yes she was pulling off running the department luckily the department was running smoothly. "Okay, well the upside is I think we have a good launching point for this project." Maddy said with a smile nodding to the holographic projector.

"Good. I'll leave you too it then," Kristiana offered. "Unless you have any questions?"

"None right now," Maddy said, "....and I'll make sure you get those daily reports."

Kris gave a nod. "Alright. I look forward to reading them." She didn't, but it was the polite thing to say.
