Blackout??

Location: Jeffery Tubes x Banquet Hall

...rushing to her quarters Madalene quickly got out of her dress uniform and into her duty. While she was doing this she had her bridge operations officer start running diagnostics on the optical-data network hub along with the EPS hub in the area of the banquet hall. Double checking her gear bag; which was a simple black military-style rover shoulder sling backpack, after finishing her double checking she left her quarters.

"Matte," Madalene said into her communicator, "...as soon as the diagnostics send them my way. I am heading back to the banquet hall. I am hoping engineering has sent someone up. Also make sure there was no other blackouts anywhere else on the ship."

"Copy that lieutenant," the female said in a Scandinavian accent, "...diagnostics are at 45% and we are looking at like another 25 to 35 minuets before it finishes." Madalene sighed as she jumped into the lift, "give me a few and I'll see what I can do to speed it up."

"Okay sounds good." Madalene said realizing that it wasn't a bad thing it would allow to take a look without having diagnostics to kinda lead her. "Oh also get someone down to the computer core make sure that if it was a power surge the core wasn't damage."

"Copy that lieutenant," Matte said before tapping her communicator and getting a few operations mates down to the core. Madalene walked into the banquet hall and heading straight for the bulkhead that would lead her into the jeffery tube and to the optical-data network hub. Madalene hated the jeffery tubes yes she did enjoy them when she was younger and growing up on a freighter but now it wasn't hide 'n seek it was work. And well she was bigger and the tubes were more cramped.

After several minuets of cursing and crawling she finally made it to a junction where she could finally stand kind of taking a couple of minuets to breath. She spun around until she pulled out the optical data-network hub. "Alright let's see what happened. Visual inspection says it wasn't a power surge." Madalene said to herself as moved her backpack to her front and pulling out her specialized tablet.

"Lieutenant," Matte said tapping a few buttons and sending the diagnostic, "...I was able to get the diagnostics done a little bit sooner. It is on it's way to you. Nothing out of the ordinary." Matte said as she still worked on dissecting the diagnostics.

"Same here," Madalene said as she set her tablet on top of the hub and pulled out her PaDD and looked over the diagnostics. "We can definitely rule out a power surge there is absolutely no damage to the hub or the iso-chips." Madalene said scratching her head, "how does the core look. Did anything trip there?"

"Nothing yet. The core looks good." Matte said sending another report. "We'll keep digging but it's gotta be something down there." Tilting her head as she spotted something something that shouldn't be there. Taking the hyperspanner out of her bag she did a quick cursory scan. "Hrmm this is interesting," Madalene muttered to herself as she looked back in her bag and put on some gloves thinking that this could be some kind of evidence.

Carefully she removed the device and looked it over, "Matte you are right it was something down here or at least I think I found something." Madalene said placing the device into a small faraday cage. "Let's get a team down here I want the whole optical data-network looked at."

"Okay. I can send three officers it'll take awhile but it'll get done." Matte said looking over the roster. "I can have them down in there in a few minuets."

"Good," Madalene said placing her tools back into her bag before crawling her way out. "...I am heading to security once I get done there I'll head up to the bridge to relieve you."

"Sounds good." Matte said returning back to her work.
