Mission: Deus ex Machina
Location: Engineering

Thex was annoyed as anyone could tell if they saw the ship's chief of engineering. She'd woken up with her head feeling like a Klingon opera was pounding away inside at full volume. Wondering if she'd drunk too much last night she'd pulled herself out of her bed and tried walking to the room's bathroom. Her legs failed and she collapsed to the floor. How much had she had last night ran through her own head as she pulled herself up again? The feeling of cold war helped her tired and sore face.

It helped for a short while which allowed her to dress into her uniform going with the jumpsuit variety. Only after a short stroll down the corridor did the feeling come back only with a vengeance worse than a Klingon-flavoured curry. Sweat was pouring from her head blue head which throbbed like a hammer was being bashed against her head.

Damit where had she caught this from went through her head as made her way to the engineering bay. Even through her rigging head, she could tell something was up. Her usual nosey engineering room was extremely quiet with no one running around doing the half a dozen tasks that needed doing.

Collapsing into her chair she brought up her shift list. Her blue eyes became like saucers as she saw almost all of her shift was in sickbay or calling in sick. " Great the ship has a bug going around." She said out loud to herself as she fell back in her chair. She instantly regretted it as a pain stabbed through her head.

Letting out a stream of words in Andorian that failed to translate she began furiously typing into sickbay and then command. She was going to need help down here to keep things running especially with her in this condition. After sending of her messages she slumped back in her chair trying to think of how to deal with her throbbing headache.

Glancing around her office (very slowly as every move sent another stab of pain through her head.) her blue eyes were drawn to the EES suit standing on it's bay. It wouldn't be ideal, but it did have the feature to stop the wearer's head moving around. It took her another effort to move over from her chair before she managed to clamber into the bay and activate the program. The suit began donning itself though more pain stabbed through her head as it moved to fit properly. As the tight suit of rubber and other damage-resistant materials sealed itself around her her figure fumbled activating the program putting her head in a small shield to prevent movement. She also lowered the suit's temperature of the suit entered the cold air doing wonders for her temperature.

Even though she was reduced to moving her whole upper body to look around it was preventing the stabbing pain in her skull. " Thex to the bridge. Have found a temporary fix to my problem, but i could do with some help from someone who's not showing symptoms." She said tapping her comabdge as she got to work tending to her ship.
