Talee slammed her fist onto her console as the latest attempt to get communications back online didn't work tapping a few buttons she ran a program to look for what could've worked in her last few attempts. Reworking some of the code she attempted again. "Damn it!" She said said slamming her fist on her console again.

"I don't imagine breaking the console will help much, Lieutenant," Mallory commented, her voice weary, as she moved toward the ops console while everyone did what they could to figure out what was going on and how to fix it. "Are we still unable to achieve communications?"

During the short time since they'd ended up...here, there had been limited sensor reports that crew was missing. They couldn't contact them either. What little was working had helped science to ID their time period, but it hadn't done much to talk to the missing crew or various parts of the ship.

Talee looked up feeling embarrassed that she had lost her cool on the bridge while they were dealing with a crisis. "Apologies captain," Talee said looking up, ".....but yes we have no communications and external sensors are fluctuating from giving us data to giving us corrupted data."

Mal blew out a breath. "Of course," she murmured bitterly. "What can you tell me so far?"

"Well there are satellites around the planet but.....but they don't match any satellites I have seen. I might be able to piggy-back a signal but it's gonna take some time they are not as.....unh....." Talee said looking over something.

"They're not what, Lieutenant?" the captain prompted gently. They were all harried now, under stress, so she was cautious in her pressing but she still needed the answers that her crew had and could get.

"They are not as sophisticated....." Talee said pulling up the data and putting it on the main view screen. "....to get access I think I actually have to be digging into the internal circuitry."

That didn't sound great, but... "Let's figure out the feasibility of that. We may be able to bring one in, but I want to know what the risk will run. Will that be detected? Can we prevent it? If you get a hold of it, can you change it so we can use it, and so forth." She sighed and ran a hand through her hair, pushing it back off her face. "I'll be gathering the senior staff shortly. Have this information ready for the briefing."

"Yes if we bring one in I can manipulate the insides for us to use without anyone knowing problem is if we bring one in I believe if we pull one in it'll be noticed seeing as the satellites act in unison if one goes down whoever controls them gets alerted." Talee said pulling up a simplistic diagram of what she meant. Talee also nodded putting it all together for the meeting. Along with other issues that the ship was dealing with like the optical data-network.
