Fabla decided to have her lunch in her small office so she could catch up on some work. Taking a bite out of her sandwich she pulled up some reports. As she took another bite the door slid open, “…..chief,” Talee said simply as she walked into the office. The female Bajoran quickly put her sandwich down and cleared it out of the way before standing.
“Lieutenant,” Fabla quickly said getting as presentable as she could get. Talee took a second to look at what she could before speaking again. “I was just working through lunch getting reports ready and making sure that we have all the supplies we need when we ship out.”
“Good good,” Talee purred looking at the pool table, “…..interesting setup for the pool table it looks like an engineering one but looks like you have added your own spin to it.” Talee purred enjoying seeing innovation especially with tech that was used everyday.
“Yes it took some doing and trading in some favors but it’s been worth it.” Fabla said tapping a view more buttons showing off some of the functions. “As you can see I was able to get operation reports from the bridge along with damage reports.”
“Very impressive,” Talee said as she watched the data flow in, “…..and has this allowed you to stay ahead of catastrophic damage?” Talee asked seeing the benefit of this table especially if she was on the bridge and having someone like this women here keeping an eye on things and helping the damage control teams.
Fabla took a second to think she had only completed one tour and well it did work well for it. “So far it’s been successful especially with aiding with the damage control teams. Freeing up engineering from trying to keep the ship together and sending out damage control teams. If you would like we can setup a training exercise so you can see it.” Fabla suggested.
“I think that would be a good idea.” Talee said not mistrusting that this concept didn’t work she just wanted to see it in action before they were actually in combat or a dangerous situation. "What do you need from me?" Talee asked looking at the Bajoran women.
Fabla thought it over as she pulled up a list of everyone that would need to be in on it. "Not right now but I'll need you in the planning meetings with the other department heads." Fabla added sending her the list of department heads that she'll be dealing with.
"Keep me informed." Talee said with a nod before turning and leaving the chief and heading to her office to get some work done along with getting herself familiar with the new position.
