Mission: Changing Faces
Location: Sickbay USS Odin

Waking up.

Alex Sexton would really rather have been in his quarters with his wife, but 24 hrs in recovery was just that. So he put his padd away and fluffed his pillow and tried to go to sleep, knowing that when he woke up the next time, he would be going to work.
His conversation with the XO, left him with a desire to get things started. So he closed his eyes and drifted off into slumber.

10 Hours Later:

Alex began to stir. As he slowly opened his eyes, he tried to recount the dream he had had throughout the night. And for some reason, he just could not remember what was going on in his head just mere minutes ago. Had he had problems before remembering a dream? He would ask the doctor if this was normal, but until then, he was not going to lose any sleep over it. And he laughed at his silly joke.

There were few members in the fleet with his pedigree. 1/4 Klingon and 3/4th's Human. He did not have the ridges like most Klingons but you could see that there was something there. Those who did not know him, would look and frown for a second and then look away. Tayla, was the exception. She walks right up to him and said, "stand still." Then she began to trace her fingers over his almost invisible ridges.

He thought he should be pissed off, but it was just the opposite. He found it rather seductive. Then she stopped.

"Hey, don't stop. I was enjoying that!" He protested

"That's why I stopped. Time and place mean anything to you?" She asked as he looked perplexed.

"Ok, so time. Tonight and we can even have dinner. Place of your choice. And desert is included." Said Sexton, and the rest was history. They have been together every since, and that was two years prior.

Present Day:

A nurse approached him and summarily announced, "You're free Lt." Said the nurse.

"You mean I can go?" He asked

"Yep, you're dismissed. Please leave our sickbay, and if you can help it, don't come back anytime soon!" And she smiled grabbed his chart and walked away.

So he finished getting dressed, grabbed his Security Padd and headed for the door. As he did so, he tapped his padd and found his first notification of the day. And it read.

Attention to orders: Special faith and Fidelity has been placed on your ability to run the Security Department of your present assignment. So you are therefore placed in charge of the security section and promoted to the rank of full LT. Active immediately. Your security codes have been upgraded to the appropriate level. There's nothing for you to do except get to work. By order of the Captain.

Alex stood there for only a moment. Stunned. And within seconds his whole demeanor changed. He even walked like a man on a mission. And it was time to go to work. A lot had happened and Alex needed to get up to speed. It was time to see the Captain!
