Lorelei checked the time as she sauntered into the counseling offices. She was a few minutes early for the appointment she had set up with the chief counselor, so she took a seat and stretched out her long legs ahead of her. She didn't look like most people who came in for a counseling session, but that was because that wasn't really what she was here for.

The appointment before Romanov left, the woman’s tear stained face and sniffles making her reasoning for the visit apparent. Straightening pillows before Rahl moved to the doorway and looked over Lorelei with a smile, “Come in Romanov, please. Can I get you some tea? Water? Juice? Afraid the alcohol is only for off duty hours around here.”

Chuckling as she got up and walked into the other office, she took one of the chairs and returned to her casual pose. "I got plenty of other places to find booze," she said. "Nah, I'm good. If you want something, don't hesitate cause of me though."

On a counter near her replicator Quinle kept a blue green glass pitcher of water, from which she poured herself a glass, then she turned back to Lorelei again. “How may I help you today?”

"I don't need any help," Lorelei said with an easy shrug and a smirk. "I figured you must be the woman with the absolute worst job on the ship right now and so I came by to say hi."

That was a surprise and Quinle’s almost black eyes blinked, then she laughed softly. “Hi.” Her response was short and a blush darker over her cheek bones. “Not sure if mine is the worst, but the sentiment is appreciated.”

The seated woman's eyes flashed with amusement as her smirk grew. "I'm curious to hear how you'd say that this isn't the worst, or at least the hardest, job on the ship right now."

“I would not wish to be the captain, or part of the science team as we explore this new time.” Quinle grinned back at Lorelei, “This job is appreciated once people no longer need to visit me, but when they need me I am the last person they wish to be around.”

"Can't be much fun for you, huh?" Lorelei asked easily.

The counselor laughed softly, “I am unused to people trying to avoid me completely, I like to think I am fairly approachable and easy to be around.” She lifted a hand to rub the back of her neck. “I suppose it is natural though.”

Lorelei's expression was still easy and open, but now also a little sad. "Maybe it's a little hard for folks to come see you because it reminds folks of how you got the job. I don't imagine most people are gonna be shaking off all these deaths any time soon. Most of the ship can't get back to our friends and family for solace."

nodding her dark head in agreement, “That is likely part of it, some might think I a. Too busy already, or that other are worse off then they are, but all of the reasons you and I have said are why people need to be seeing me, not trying to deal with it all themselves.” Taking a deep breath she smiled again at Lorelei,”But you do not and instead are just here to cheer me up?” Her grin turned slightly impish, “Or is there a pool on who will cry in public next and you are trying to get an edge?”

"Nah, I don't gamble," Lorelei said with a chuckle. "It's just a friendly visit. I'm a friendly kinda girl, y'know." She winked a dark eye.

The affect of the beautiful pilot’s visit left Quinle relaxing slightly, she tipped her head and laughed softly at Lorelei’s words, “I figured that from our drinking session, well friendly with everyone but your brother, of course.” The words good natured and teasing, “Well, since I joined we have jumped from one crisis to another and haven’t had a lot of quiet time. What do you all do for fun around here?”

Lorelei laughed again. "Well, you saw what most of what the flight deck folks do already," she said. "Drink and eat, and then other things that often happen after drinking." She wiggled her brows. "But otherwise, ship has a gym and a rec room and holosuites. People use any or all of those."

“Well, the gym is not my friend,I am absolutely hopeless when it comes to most things that raise the heart rate.” An answering wiggle of her brows just to be cute, “But it would be nice to explore more when my office is not filled with clients.”

"Give me a call when it is," Lorelei said with another wink and incorrigible grin, "and I'd be glad to help ya out."
